Our competitive rates depend on the nature of the work involved, and are roughly based on guidelines given by the Editorial Freelancers Association.

We start by talking with you.  We get an idea of what you are looking for, and you see if you would like to work with us.  If you feel we are a good fit, we request a sample of your writing project.  We then give you a detailed proposal and estimate for the work.  This consultation and estimate are free.

With your acceptance of our proposal we require a payment of 50% of the total estimated cost in advance of beginning work, with the remaining balance due upon the work's completion. 

 

We have been doing this for a long time, and our initial estimates tend to be fairly accurate.
